Family Camp

About the Camp

2009 Family Camp

For the family camp of September 2009 we decided to try the Attunga Country Campsite in the Southern Highlands. The campsite is located in a bushland setting approximately two hours south of Sydney. Once again our brethren from the Warners Bay Church were able to join with us.

Brian Eglinton from the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Adelaide agreed to be our guest speaker. The theme of the ministry was an overview of the Book of Revelation entitled “I have told you all things beforehand”. Brain emphasised that this very often neglected and misunderstood book is actually of great importance as we face the challenges of living in a fallen world. We were reminded that “we must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God”. Yet in Christ we shall overcome.

The ministry was very beneficial, the fellowship warm and the setting beautiful. We also had the privilege of receiving a couple of people into membership – one through the waters of baptism on a very chilly day. Another noteworthy feature of the camp was the quality of the skits, little did we know we were oozing with so much talent!

2008 Spring Family Camp

In September 2008 we embarked upon our first ever family camp. The campsite is located on Lake Macquarie south of Newcastle and is run by the Crusaders organisation. We were joined by our friends from the Warners Bay Baptist Reformed Church.

Keith Noldt was our guest speaker and he ministered on the vital subject of prayer. It doesn’t matter how often we consider the topic of prayer it is always stimulating to be reminded of the privilege and responsibility that it is to have audience with Almighty God.

Keith based his sermons around the acronym ACTS. Prayer must consist in Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. It was a time of great blessing as we sat under the ministry of God’s Word, and enjoyed fellowship together in the surroundings of Lake Macquarie.
